Connecting WhatsApp
Linking your number, confirming it worked, and what happens to conversations already in flight.
Calypso runs on your own WhatsApp number. Connecting is started from Boards and completed on the phone that holds the number.
Before you start
- Decide which number this is. Changing it later means reconnecting.
- Expect the number to also receive personal messages if it is a personal phone — plan to put those contacts on the Hidden board.
Connecting
Start the connection, accept the pairing on your phone, and wait for the state on Project → Channels to read live. From that point new conversations land on your boards.
Confirming
Message the number from a different phone. A card should appear on a board within moments. If it does not, check in this order:
- Project → Channels — is the channel live, or paused, or waiting to pair?
- Is the contact on the Hidden board?
- Is it a group chat? Groups land but are never answered.
Then see Troubleshooting.
Reconnecting
Reconnecting is the same flow. Conversations already on your boards stay where they are — the board is the record, and relinking the channel does not disturb it.
