Members and roles

Inviting people, what access means in a board-based workspace, and how seats are counted.

Members are managed in Project → Members.

Inviting

Invite by the address or number the person will sign in with. New members land in the workspace and see the boards their access allows.

Access is by board

In a board-based workspace, the meaningful unit of access is the board. A member works the boards they are on; boards they are not on are not their concern.

This is why one board per job matters for more than tidiness — it is also how you keep Returns visible to the people who handle returns.

Board scope and board access are different questions. Scope decides which conversations land on a board — see Board membership. Access decides who may see it.

Seats

Plans include one seat, with additional seats charged monthly. Members count against seats; see Billing and usage.

Removing someone

Removing a member ends their access. Their past work stays: conversations they handled keep their attribution in Session logs, because the record of who did what must survive people leaving.
