Getting started

Set up

Describe what you want to get done on WhatsApp, review the boards and agents Calypso proposes, and create them.

Set up is the onboarding step that turns a sentence into a workspace. You describe your business and what you want to get done on WhatsApp; Calypso lays out the boards and agents from it.

What you write

Free text, in your own words. The more concrete the outcome, the better the plan:

We sell planters to landscapers in Santiago. I want every enquiry to end in a booked delivery, and I want support questions about returns answered without me.

That produces a different plan from "we do sales and support" — two objectives, two boards, each with its own columns.

What you get back

A proposed plan you can edit before anything is created:

  • Boards, one per job, each with a name you can change
  • Columns for each board — the steps a conversation moves through
  • An objective for the board
  • A Calypso Agent per board, as its own variant rather than one shared agent

Nothing is created until you accept. Board names must be unique, and the step tells you if one collides with a board you already have.

Editing the plan

Adjust anything: rename a board, change its columns, drop one you do not need. You are not locked in either way — everything here is editable afterwards from the board's settings, so a plan that is roughly right is worth accepting and refining later.

If the plan step fails or you would rather not do it now, skip it. You can create boards directly from Boards at any time.

What happens on accept

Calypso creates each board in turn, showing you which one it is on. When it finishes you have a workspace with boards, columns, objectives and per-board agents — and conversations will start landing on them as soon as the channel is live.

Newly created boards are born with their agent inheriting the workspace default: the agent answers, using the team's default agent profile, until you say otherwise. See On and off.
